Hi! My name’s Cassie and I look something a little like this.
(I’m the one who isn’t Richard Dean Anderson, just in case that’s not clear! ;))

You’ve probably noticed by now that I like reading. And I mean I really really like reading. That’s what pretty much what this entire site is about, after all. Books – and my love for them.

I’ve always loved to read, I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t reading but the sad thing is a lot of my friends aren’t into books as much as I am. Which means when I’ve finished reading a book, I don’t have many people to talk to about it.

That’s the basics of why I have this website. To talk about the books I’m reading. I’d love to be able to say I’m reviewing them, but I don’t really think that’s what I’m doing here. I’m mostly just sitting here, talking to you excitedly about them instead.

Now that we’ve talked some about books, what else would you like to know? Well, the important stuff is What else is important for you to know?

My pronouns are they/them. I love llamas. My favourite colour is orange. I have a terribly boring job in finance that I’m really good at. I’m studying history & classical studies, but am also finding an interest in linguistics and art history. I would be lost without my planner and to-do lists. I wish I could draw. Stationery is my drug of choice. Never get me talking about Stargate, Riley Smith or Raintown because you won’t shut me up again. Wings make me wibble. I have 8 tattoos and 6 piercings. I live in the West Midlands, England. I give inanimate objects names. I’m the least Leo-like Leo ever. I have an asymmetric tilted pelvis with hip impingement, one leg longer than the other, a few other hip/leg/back issues and arthritis in my back, right knee and hip, and I walk on crutches. I suffer from depression and anxiety.

I love, amongst other things, fanfiction, music, gigs, sci-fi conventions, reading, pizza, chocolate, cooking, wordsearches, travelling, history, science, nature documentaries, bad movies, horror, science-fiction and watching far too many tv shows… it’s a fairly endless list that changes like all the time haha

Current obsession as of July 2021: Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis, Leverage, Raintown, mindfulness & positivity, guided journalling, self-discovery, sustainability, learning languages on Duolingo, and Buzzfeed quizzes
