I found Parasite to be completely unputdownable, read it in one sitting. Symbiont isn’t quite to the same level but I suspect I’ll have read it in a couple days (and, tbh, if I’d started it on a weekend day, it would likely have been a single sitting too!).
I wish I’d read her books sooner, I’m in LOVE!
Pompeii sounds really interesting.

It’s a bit heavy reading at times, but absolutely fascinating. I went there a few years ago and wish I’d read the book before I’d gone!
Pompeii also fits the topic for today, LOL! I have not read these authors, but I have one on my TBR list from Matt Haig that I want to read.
That it does, and I really want to go back to Pompeii and explore it properly. I was there in 2018, but my mobility was super poor and I was using my wheelchair… it’s not wheelchair friendly LOL and I managed to completely wreck the treads on my tires. Still bloody loved it though!

I adore the cover – I’ve never heard of the author before but the cover caught my eye when I was scrolling through the latest books my library has in on Libby. I didnt’ even stop to read the blurb, checked it out based on cover alone!
The Vampire Lestat is the only one I’ve read.
I’ve read both Lestat and Lucy Sullivan before, but the rest are new to me – although mostly familiar authors so I kind of know what I’m getting into
I keep meaning to pick up a Bryson book, but I still haven’t. Not sure why as I’ve heard only good things about them. I hope you enjoy all these!

I seem to be working my way through Bryson’s back catalogue this year – I’ve already read two, and there are actually two of his on my TBR (Troublesome Words and Shakespeare). I am definitely recommending him, he’s got a great voice and a wonderful snarky sense of humour
I’d like to read some of these as well. I hope you enjoy them once you read them. 😀
