Jana is also challenging us to leave the review at one word and not explain anything about that word. Oh boy, this is going to be tricky
This week’s topic is One-Word Reviews for the Last Ten Books I ReadThe Lost Continent – self-deprecating
The Body – fascinating
Greek Mythology – pretty
The Prison Doctor – preachy
A Court Of Thorns and Roses – unexpected
The Lost Apothecary – re/discovery
The Comfort Book – comforting
Beyond The Gender Binary – thought-provoking
Pilgrimage – long-winded
The Topping Book – informative And that was even harder than I thought it was going to be – I really wanted to justify the words I chose, and explain the reasoning, what I meant for some of them.
Yeah, The Comfort Book was lovely for sure!

I’m reading Notes On A Nervous Planet, and just got Reasons To Live out of the library. I’m really digging his style and voice right now
Great word choices! I have to agree, Greek Mythology DOES look incredibly pretty!
The art is seriously stunning, I really want a print of the Zeus artwork
This prompt was seriously so fun. Great words.
Thank you! 🙂
This is a fun list! I love your one word reviews.
Thank you – looking back, it was as fun as it was tricky. Not sure I’d want to repeat the experience though LOL
I love Bill Bryson! I also would like to read The Comfort Book
I agree about how challenging it was to distill my “review” to one word – that actually might be helpful to another reader! It was an interesting exercise though – you came up with some great words. Let me know what you think of mine: https://www.bookshelfjourneys.com/post/ttt-one-word-reviews
Thank you! 🙂
Beyond The Gender Binary sounds like such an interesting read!
I’m still figuring out my gender expression and how I want to present so reading such a personal and colourful account was incredibly helpful.
I’ll be reading The Lost Apothecary soon. I’m really looking forward to it.
Oooh, I like “unexpected.” It’s an interesting adjective because it could mean something good or something not so good. Great choice!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Susan
